SOUTHEND United have announced this Saturday's National League opener against York City will be shown with enhanced production from DAZN.

A press release from the League confirmed: "The Vanarama National League’s groundbreaking new partnership with sports platform giant DAZN sees three matches benefit from enhanced production this month.

"The seven-year deal, announced last month, confirmed the competition will now be showcased across more than 200 countries leveraging unparalleled global reach when it arrives on the DAZN platform in the Autumn.

"Until the Vanarama National League is available on the DAZN platform, fans will continue to sign up to NLTV in order to watch these enhanced games, and all other National League matches.

"With the fixture calendar now confirmed – fans can look forward to the start of the exciting new era with an opening day cracker receiving improved production as two famous and well-supported clubs go head-to-head.

"A huge crowd is expected as recently taken over Southend United host York City on August 10, with kick-off at 3pm."

Two other matches will also receive the same level of coverage later in the month.

The statement added: "While DAZN will produce and livestream every National League game, the full production cameras will head to Woking as Hartlepool United meet with former manager Darren Sarll.

"Hartlepool United will head to Surrey side on Bank Holiday Monday before five days later, on August 31, two sides relegated from the EFL collide as Sutton United welcome Forest Green Rovers.

"Once up and running later in the season with the migration of NLTV onto the DAZN ecosystem as an add-on channel the agreement with DAZN will run until 2031 and will, for the first time, enable National League games to be accessed around the globe across devices including desktop, smart TVs, IOS, Android, SKY Q, Apple.tv, Amazon Firestick and even games consoles."
