A WHOLE host of England cricket legends faced Hadleigh & Thundersley in an entertaining encounter at John Burrows today.
Mark Ramprakash, Matthew Hoggard and Monty Paneser were among the ex internationals in action, along with bowler Alex Tudor.
And Tudor enjoyed coming back to Essex.
"It's been great," said Tudor.
"We've done it for the last couple of years and it's always a good turn out here.
"We're also well accepted here and the weather always seems to be nice as well.
"Roger Dakin who was the MC had everyone on toast as he was just brilliant in the hospitality tent before the match and everyone loved it.
"I was on a table with loads of builders and they just couldn't stop laughing.
"There's 50 more people here for the meal than last year and the ladies cricket team developing the way it is here is brilliant to see.
"The enthusiasm and energy they bring is brilliant and hopefully that has a knock on affect for the younger ones coming through too."
And Tudor was also keen to help Hadleigh generate funds for their future.
"We're trying to help the club raise money too," said Tudor.
"You see the number of people here today but they need the facilities and they need the nets.
"If everyone can give then it will benefit not only the community but the development of the youngsters too."
Hadleigh went on to win the 20 over match by two wickets.
And Tudor enjoyed the encounter.
"It's always a good match here," said Tudor.
"The batting side of things is always OK and we still have a few lads who play but the fielding side of it is horrible for us now."
