SOUTHEND United defender Ollie Kensdale was forced to miss Saturday’s clash at Barnet due to illness.
Kensdale had started the opening three games of the National League season for the Shrimpers.
But Blues boss Kevin Maher was without the centre-back against the Bees.
“He came down overnight with an illness,” confirmed Maher.
“We’ll have to see how he is for the Dagenham game on Monday.”
Kensdale was replaced by Adam Crowther for the 2-1 defeat at Barnet while striker Josh Walker was again absent with a hamstring issue he suffered in training at the start of the week.
And the striker will soon be having a scan to determine the seriousness of the setback.
“Josh is having a scan so that will probably rule him out for Monday,” said Maher.
“We’ll look to get the scan as soon as possible because we need the results.”
