ISTHMIAN North leaders Basildon United will be bidding to get back to winning ways at Ipswich Wanderers.

Basildon drew 1-1 with second placed Bury Town in a top of the table clash on Saturday.

And Bees boss Chris Taylor is now targeting all three points on Tuesday evening.

“It’s good we can bounce back,” Taylor told the club's YouTube channel.

“We’ll have to assess a few things but we’ll be prepared.

“We’ll go there and try to maintain the record we’ve got so far.

“Anywhere we go at the moment we’re the team people want to beat so the target is quite big but we’ll set up to try and win the game.”

Basildon have taken 13 points from their first five matches of the season.

But Taylor was disappointed not to win at the weekend.

Darren Esuka put the Bees in front after just seven minutes before the visitors were reduced to 10 men with 14 minutes on the clock after Ryan Horne was red carded by referee Colman O’Meara.

However, Bury were still able to fight back for a share of the spoils, much to the frustration of Taylor.

“Before the game you’d say a point was an OK result but when we score and they go down to 10 men they camped in and were better on the ball than us,” said Taylor.

“We were a little bit lacklustre and it wasn’t sharp.

“We’d have three or four touches and give the ball away.

“We’re still unbeaten but on reflection I’m disappointed we’ve not got three.

“We know our standards and were we at the standard? I don’t think so.”
