BASILDON United suffered their first defeat of the Isthmian North season on Tuesday night, losing 2-1 at Ipswich Wanderers.
Table-topping Basildon took the lead after just 10 minutes with Ruben Bartlett-Antwi on target.
However, the Bees had goalkeeper George Marsh sent off after 66 minutes before the hosts scored twice in stoppage time to triumph.
In the Essex Senior League, league leaders Great Wakering Rovers triumphed 2-1 at Sawbridgeworth Town.
Bradleigh Rowland put Wakering ahead after 14 minutes before Kieran David equalised in the 64 minutes.
But Wakering hit back to triumph with Raheem Gray scoring four minutes from time.
Elsewhere, sixth placed Benfleet came from a goal down to beat Little Oakley 2-1.
Daniel Rowe put Little Oakley ahead after 15 minutes but goals from Nathan Saunders and Louie Rodmell saw Benfleet bag all three points.
