RUGBY: Big changes are continuing to happen at Rochford Hundred.
The Regional Two Anglia side parted company with head coach Danny Cleare 10 days ago before appointing ex Southend chief Kevin Harman in his place.
Hundred are now looking to strengthen their squad after starting the season with three defeats in succession.
And Harman is pleased to have brought experienced centre Sonny Gay back to Magnolia Road.
“We are delighted to welcome Sonny back to Rochford Hundred,” said Harman.
“Sonny will play an important role in turning our season around, starting this weekend when we host Stowmarket at the Rugby Park.”
Saturday’s game will also be the first since Chris Green’s Rochford’s return.
Green enjoyed a successful spell as Hundred’s director of the rugby and is now back at the club as first team head coach.
Green knows Harman from their time together at Southend and will now be aiming to turn Rochford’s fortunes around after back to back relegations.
Westcliff have also been relegated in the past two seasons but have started the current campaign strongly and top the Regional Anglia table with 17 points from their first four games.
Westcliff will be hoping to continue the good start when they host fifth placed Harlow at the Gables.
