HARTLEPOOL United have parted company with manager Darren Sarll after just 15 games in charge.

The National League club, who sit 16th in the standings, were beaten 3-1 by Brackley Town in an FA Cup fourth round qualifying replay on Tuesday evening.

And a short Hartlepool club statement issued this morning confirmed Sarll's departure.

It read: "Hartlepool United’s board can confirm that they have today parted company with manager Darren Sarll.

"Lennie Lawrence will take over manager duties in the interim supported by the existing football staff.

"A further update will follow in due course."
