THE first round of the FA Trophy takes place this weekend with Bowers & Pitsea hosting Chatham Town at the Len Salmon Stadium.
Canvey Island, who beat Carshalton 1-0 on Tuesday night, are also at home in the Trophy as they welcome Horsham to the Steve Taxi’s Stadium.
In Isthmian North on Saturday, Basildon United head to Walthamstow.
Fourth placed Basildon got back to winning ways with a 1-0 victory against Maldon & Tiptree last time out.
And the Bees will now be bidding for more of the same against their 14th placed opponents tomorrow.
In the Essex Senior League, fourth placed Great Wakering Rovers take on Frenford, who are 12th, looking to close the gap on the teams above them in the table.
Hullbridge Sports, who are 16th, will also be eager for a win when they head to 18th placed Ilford.
Elsewhere, 10th placed Benfleet face a tough looking clash at table-topping Stanway Rovers.
Fellow Essex Senior League side White Ensign go to Kempston Rovers in the first round of the FA Vase.
