GUS Scott-Morriss wants Southend United to take confidence from their FA Cup clash with Charlton Athletic.
The Shrimpers suffered a heartbreaking 4-3 defeat against the Addicks at Roots Hall on Saturday.
But Scott-Morriss has urged Blues to take the positives from the tie back into their National League campaign.

“We’re definitely going the right way now and I think Saturday showed that, even though we lost it at the end,” sad Scott-Morriss.
“I think we’ve had a slow start to the season and probably a poor start from our perspective.
“But Saturday will give us confidence and hopefully we can take that into the next game now because we’re on a good little run in the league as well.
“We’re unbeaten in three with three clean sheets and want to keep that going.”
The Shrimpers host seventh placed Yeovil Town this weekend.
And Scott-Morriss remains eager to look forward, not back.
“We were really disappointed and we should have come out on top in the game but we have to take this forward now,” said Scott-Morriss.
“There are a lot of positives for us to look back on and we know we never say never.
“That showed on Saturday because we were down and out a couple of times and clawed it back.”
However, the timing of Charlton’s late winner - scored by Gassan Ahadme in the dying seconds of extra time - ultimately meant there was no coming back for Blues.
And Scott-Morriss is keen to avoid further disappointment.
“It was a tough one to take because there was no time for us to get another goal,” said the wing-back.
“But hopefully we can put that right on Saturday now.”
