SOUTHEND United boss Kevin Maher wants Jack Wood to keep pushing for a place in the starting line-up.
Wood scored a hat-trick for the Shrimpers in Tuesday night's 5-3 defeat at Hashtag United on Tuesday night.
And, when asked about Wood's involvement with Blues, Maher said: "Like everyone else Jack’s part of the squad.
“We go off training every day and what we see.
“We go on what we feel the opposition are going to look like and I’m delighted for Jack to get his goals.
“He’s got to keep pushing and keep on doing that.”
Wood has been on the bench for every Blues game so far this season but has not got onto the pitch in the last six matches.
