SOUTHEND United skipper Nathan Ralph heads back to Woking tomorrow night wanting greater consistency from the Shrimpers.
Kevin Maher’s side fought back twice to draw 2-2 with title chasing Forest Green Rovers on Saturday.
But Ralph now wants the standard of that showing to be the sign of things to come.
“We’ve had some good performances here and there this season but I think it’s the consistency we want to work on now and make sure we’re doing it week in, week out,” said Ralph.
“We’ve got a draw against the team top of the league and it’s a positive performance.
“But we want to get more points on board and what better way than having another game on Tuesday.”
The Shrimpers head to Woking sitting 16th in the standings.
But Ralph knows Blues are in for another big test.
“I was there for a couple of a years and it was a good but we know what they’re like and we know what they’re about,” said Ralph.
“We’ll look at them on Monday and attack it as we need to.”
Woking are currently 18th in the table, two points and two places below the Shrimpers.
