HIS team may be top of the table but Southend United’s youth team manager Ricky Duncan is not completely satisfied.
For Duncan had hoped to do better in the cup competitions.
And he still feels his side are capable of performing on a more consistent basis.
“It’s great to be top but we wanted to do much better in the Youth Alliance Cup and the FA Youth Cup,” said Duncan.
“We didn’t progress in those competitions but in a way maybe that’s helped with the league.
“We’ve played well in games and in others we’ve dug in to get results.
“I still think the players can produce more though and I want to see them push on from here."
