ESSEX Pirates produced an improved performance but were still seen off 70-58 at home to Glasgow Rocks tonight.
Pirates led 22-15 at the end of the first quarter and 32-29 at half-time before the scores were locked at 48-48 at the end of the third quarter.
But Rocks ran out winners after they bagged 12 of the game's last 15 points.
Dan Briglia top scored for Pirates with 15 points.
