Hadleigh & Thundersley fell two places in the table to fourth after their match at Chingford was rained off at 10.30am on Saturday.
Adam Fleming’s Hadleigh outfit were looking to bounce back from the previous weekend’s defeat to Orsett.
But they were denied the chance when heavy rain at the Forest Side ground meant play did not even get underway.
And with Shenfield picking up nine points in an abandoned draw, and Upminster claiming seven points from a draw, Hadleigh dropped out of the top two.
Elsewhere in the division, ORSETT also picked up six points from their match with Fives & Heronians, but they will be disappointed with an abandonment of a match they were very much in charge of.
Fives won the toss and put Orsett in to bat, and Ryan Plom made an impressive 68 as the hosts made 200 before declaring.
And Orsett had the visitors in all sort of trouble at 34-5 in reply, but then the weather came to Fives rescue.
