SOUTHEND Manor bagged four second half goals to thrash rivals Basildon United 4-0 at Southchurch Park.

Manor’s goals came courtesy of David Tubbs, Andrew Merry and a brace from Ben Hudson.

The win keeps Southend Manor in third place, within striking distance of the two teams above them – Enfield 1893 and Witham Town – and with three games in hand on both.

For Basildon, however, the misery goes on and they stay rooted to the bottom of the table.

Elsewhere, Hullbridge Sports pushed leaders Enfield 1893 right to the limit.

After going two goals down through John Bricknell, hosts Enfield looked to be cruising to a win.

But Hullbridge dug in and goals from Jordan Williams and Craig Gilham got them on level terms.

It wasn’t to be for Sports though as the leaders struck the winner late on through Guy Bonwick.
