MAKE no mistake it, tomorrow's game at Dagenham and Redbridge is going to be an extremely difficult test for us.
This league is always capable of springing up surprise results and we've seen that with Crawley Town recently.
They've drawn with Accrington Stanley and Hereford United which you wouldn't have expected and it just goes to show you never know what will happen in League Two.
I know we're taking a lot of fans to the game and that's fantastic but we need them to be appreciate of the situation and not just turn up expecting us to win.
I will be asking the same of the players and there are also one or two things I've reminded them about in training this week as I haven't been too pleased with our last three performances.
I think the players have forgotten a few of things that helped them get to the top of the league and we've been trying to drum things back in to them.
Thankfully, we've managed to get good results despite not playing well and much of that has been done to Luke Daniels who we've been very pleased with in goal since he came in on loan from West Bromwich Albion.
He was one Graham Coughlan recommended having spent a season with him at Shrewsbury Town and he has been outstanding since coming in.
He's helped keep us in games at times and that was certainly the case at Preston North End last weekend in the first round of the FA Cup.
It wasn't an ideal performance but we had a few breaks and were able to grab a goalless draw.
That means we will replay against Preston next Tuesday and we could be about to face a run of five games in 17 days.
We will need to avoid injuries and keep players fit during that spell and, most important of all, we will have to remain focused on the league, which is my biggest concern with all these games going on.
They will certainly test us too because Preston will have some of their injured players back and Bristol Rovers are a very good side who are looking to get their season going.
Swindon are also flying after beating Huddersfield in the FA Cup last weekend so we're about to enter a very tough period.
That starts with the Dagenham game and we will need to play well to win.
I will have to mull over what I consider to be the best team to win the match but we do have competition for places.
The good thing about the extra cup game is that we get Anthony Grant back quicker from suspension as he gives us an extra option in midfield.
Jean-Paul Kalala was out of sorts on his return there at Preston last weekend.
But he's a good professional and has been put through some tough training this week.
He will have been hurting about his performance but I think he has earned himself the opportunity to put that right.
