SOUTHEND United winger Bilel Mohsni felt both of his disallowed goals should have stood against Oldham Athletic.
The Frenchman had a first half header ruled out for a foul on Nathan Clarke before his second effort in the air was chalked off for offside late on.
And Mohsni did not agree with either of the decisions as Blues were forced to settle for a 1-1 draw in the second round of the FA Cup at Roots Hall.
“For the first goal it was 50/50 and we were both holding each other's shirts a bit,” said Mohsni.
“I don't think it was a foul and it was exactly the same as what Matt Harrold did against me for Bristol Rovers last weekend.
“Some referees will give them and others won't and I didn't think I was offside for the second goal either as their number two was standing in front of me.”
But things could have been worse for Mohsni as he also came close to being sent off in the first half.
The 24-year-old was shown an early yellow card for a foul on Zander Diamond which ended the defender's afternoon before he avoided a second caution for a late challenge on Paul Black.
However, Mohsni felt referee David Webb was right to keep him on the field.
“They were my only two fouls and it would've been very harsh if I had been booked for them both,” said Mohsni.
“The first one wasn't a booking as I had my eyes firmly on the ball and I didn't even see their player.
“The second one was probably a foul and a yellow card but it would've been wrong to send me off.”
Mohsni has now been shown yellow cards in three of his last four matches and has been booked eight times already this season.
But he feels referees are now keen to get him in their notebook as quickly as they can.
“Because it's me I think the referees are more likely to show me yellow cards, “said Mohsni.
“It's something I'm going to have to deal with but it was disappointing for me not to score because as well as the disallowed goals I had some good chances."
