Westcliff returned to winning ways after four straight defeats with a 35-21 victory over Bracknell.
Westcliff hit the ground running and took a very early lead when superb support play let Ash Whiting in for a try.
Ben McKeith’s conversion attempt fell inches short.
But Westcliff went further ahead when they motored upfield with a move which eventually ended in a try for Conor O’Brien after a superb run.
McKeith’s conversion made it 12-0 before scrum-half George Parmenter also touch down and McKeith again added the extras.
Westcliff soon got in to another scoring position again but over-keeness saw them give away a penalty which enabled Bracknell to clear the ball.
However, they were not let off for long as McKeith added two more penalties to make it 25-0 at half-time.
Bracknell opened the scoring in the second period as they raced 75 metres for a try which was converted but Westcliff replied with a drop goal from McKeith.
But Bracknell's very fast right winger then scored an excellent try, brushing aside attempts to tackle him and the conversion made it 28-14.
Hopes of a Bracknell comeback were shortlived though as Seb Reynolds scored a try which McKeith again converted.
The visitors responded with a converted try of their own but it was not enough to deny Westcliff a welcome return to winning ways in their bid to avoid relegation.
