NEIL Harris wants to achieve a life-long dream by scoring in front of a packed North Bank for Southend United on Saturday.
Blues host Accrington Stanley at Roots Hall this weekend with supporters again back in their spiritual home.
And Harris, who stood on the terrace supporting Southend during his youth, is therefore keen to hit the back of the net.
“I grew up watching Blues games there myself and it has always been my dream to score in front of a North Bank packed full of Southend fans,” said the 34-year-old striker.
“I would love that to happen on Saturday and I think it’s absolutely fantastic to have Southend fans back in the North Bank.
“It’s something I’ve been lobbying to happen for a long time because it generates a better atmosphere in the ground and that was proved against Crawley on Monday when they went back in there.
“I understand that there are safety issues involved with it happening all the time and it might not always be possible, but it certainly gave us a boost during the Crawley game and made a big difference.
“It’s a really important issue for me and if there’s any way of it happening regularly then it should.”
