CAMERON Belford wants to keep on being a knock out success in goal for Southend United.
The keen boxing fan has made a brilliant start to his Blues career, keeping clean sheets in his first two games.
And the on loan Bury shot-stopper is now looking to make it three in a row when his new side host Accrington Stanley at Roots Hall tomorrow.
“It’s going to be hard to keep it going but hopefully we can all work together to get another clean sheet and victory,” said Belford, 23.
“I couldn’t really have asked for a better start with Southend and I’m obviously really pleased with how things have gone so far.
“But I’ve played Accrington a couple of times before and they are always tough games so we know it’s definitely not going to be easy.”
Belford made a number of fine saves on his Blues debut at Burton last weekend to help them triumph 2-0 and he then followed that up with a man of the match display live on Sky Sports against Crawley Town on Monday.
The 23-year-old kept out a second half penalty from Billy Clarke and is already enjoying life with Southend.
“I’ve settled in well and there is a good group of lads here,” said Belford, who is with Paul Sturrock’s side for an initial month.
“We will cross the bridge about me staying for longer when it comes to it but if I’m playing then I’d be happy to be here for longer.
“It will probably come down to what Southend and Bury decide in the end but, to be honest, right now I’m just focusing on doing well in the games I know I have here already.”
