TEAM GB’s men’s handball team suffered their second defeat in two matches when they were beaten 41-19 by Sweden at the Copper Box yesterday.
After their opening defeat to reigning Olympic champions France on Sunday, Britain, who again had Basildon-born Seb Edgar in their side, wanted to put in a better performance against Sweden as they search for their first victory.
But Sweden put them to the sword in the first period and led 24-10 at half-time to virtually end the contest.
Britain return to action tomorrow against Argentina.
