THE boys will make the journey to Plymouth Argyle in good spirits this weekend but it’s a long old journey and a difficult place to play.
They’re another strong side and came back from 2-0 down to win at Morecambe last weekend so they will be in good shape too.
We were all very disappointed with what happened there last season when we let in two very late goals to draw 2-2.
But the team will be hoping to go one better than this time.
Unfortunately, I won’t be making the trip because I will be missing out with my knee injury.
It is getting better but it’s slower than I would like and I think I will probably be out for around another fortnight.
It’s never nice to have to sit out games and watch from the stands, but it was great to see the team fight back to win against Exeter on Saturday.
There were a number of pleasing factors on the day but above all else was seeing Barry Corr get back on to the pitch and then on to the score-sheet as well.
He has been through so much with his injury in the past 16 or 17 months and for him to come back with a goal was just fantastic.
The impact Freddy Eastwood had when he came on was superb to see as well and I’d also like to single out the fans in the North Bank for their support.
They really got behind the team when the game went back to 1-1 and it reminded me of when I used to stand over there myself.
It was a similar case at the end of last season when our supporters went back in there and I’d urge them to keep making the noise because it really does make a difference.
I’m sure it would’ve helped Daniel Bentley at the weekend and I was pleased he was given his first start in goal. Bents has worked really hard on his game and he did well against Exeter to help us win the game.
