ROTHERHAM has been a happy hunting ground for us in recent seasons and hopefully that will be the case again this weekend.

We want to get back on the rails in the league by getting another three points.

But Rotherham are a very good side, with a big squad full of strong players.

They will give us a stern test at their new ground, where they have been getting good crowds, but we go into the game on the back of a pleasing win over Dagenham in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy.

We settled into our game and it was very pleasing to get a clean sheet for only the second time this season.

We need to be getting a few more of those if we are to be successful but having to chop and change the team around hasn’t helped with that.

We’ve had to change around goalkeepers, the defence and midfield, and I think you ideally need a settled line-up in those areas.

Unfortunately we may need to make a change tomorrow as Luke Prosser is struggling with a glute injury.

He did superbly well to play through the pain against Dagenham with it in the week and I’m sure he would probably be prepared to go out and do it again at Rotherham.

But we don’t want him to make the injury more serious and be out for a long period of time.

It’s something we’re going to have to mull over and it would be a real blow if Luke had to miss out because I think he’s really started to blossom this year.

In the past couple of seasons I think there has been a naivety to his play at times but he’s worked hard and taken on the advice we’ve given him to become a better player.

I’m sure he will continue to improve as well and we will be looking to do that as a team.

Last season we did things the wrong way round as we were at the top for a long time before falling off at the end.

This year I’d love for us to be on the coat-tails of teams and just pick one or two of them at a time, just like Crewe did last season.

That would be ideal and we want to continue picking up points. Rotherham will have other ideas and I don’t think they will be affected by their manager, Steve Evans, not being allowed in the stadium.

I’m sure they all understand their roles and I’m not sure it will give us any kind of advantage.

I will therefore have to try and think of another way for that to happen and that makes picking the right team vital.

Alex Woodyard came back in to the midfield on Tuesday night against Dagenham and I thought he did well.

He didn’t look out of place and the next test for him would be a league game, so he’s certainly given me something to think about.
