WRESTLING fan Kieron Dyer may have been out injured for seven-and-a-half months, but he has already hatched a plan to inflict yet more pain on himself.
The 29-year-old has not played for West Ham, who he joined from Newcastle United for £6million last summer, since breaking his right leg in two places last August.
Since then, his recovery from the injury he suffered in a Carling Cup tie at Bristol Rovers has been delayed by a bout of shin splints.
But despite his woes, Dyer has revealed that he would like nothing more than to be thrown around a wrestling ring by the stars of the WWE.
The England international is a huge fan of the American sports entertainment, which features stars such as The Big Show and The Undertaker, and wants to follow boxer Floyd Mayweather into the action once his career is over.
"I absolutely love WWE and when I finish football I want to get in the ring and get bodyslammed just once," he said.
Meanwhile, Dyer has also admitted that he'd have followed a career delivering letters and parcels rather than crosses and shots if he had not made it as a professional footballer.
"If I hadn't been a footballer, I'd be a postman so I could still have the afternoon to sleep," added the winger, who admitted he "sleeps for fun".
The former Ipswich Town star's shin problems mean he is not expected to return to action until the pre-season.
