ROBERT Green has insisted West Ham will not be repaying any favours to championship-chasing Manchester United when the Irons go to Old Trafford on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Green was part of the Hammers side that snatched a dramatic 1-0 win over a weakened United at the Theatre of Dreams on the final day of last season - a success that secured the club's Premier League safety.
At the final whistle the visitors celebrated as if they had won the league while Sir Alex Ferguson's players, who had, were presented with the Premier League trophy amid carnival scenes.
This weekend, Alan Curbish-ley's men return to the scene of their salvation safely sat in mid-table, but knowing that United need a victory to keep them ahead of Chelsea - who are behind the Red Devils on goal difference - at the front of the title race.
"We've got slightly less to play for this year, but we'll still be giving it all we've got," said 28-year-old Green.
"I've got no preference as to who wins the league, but the last thing you would want to do is turn up and be accused of rolling over so we'll be giving it all we've got to inevitably help Chelsea out.
"I'm sure Newcastle (who face Chelsea) will be giving everything to help Manchester United out."
"If you look at our game (with Newcastle) on Saturday, you had 10th versus 12th and everyone was giving 100 per cent and there were people dragging themselves off at the end so you can never really accuse people of not giving their all."
Green was one of the Hammers' heroes at Old Trafford a year ago, making a string of fine saves before his long punt upfield led to Carlos Tevez's 45th-minute winner.
This time around, Tevez will be wearing red instead of dark blue, but the former Norwich City man knows everything else about West Ham's trip to the home of the champions will be just as daunting.
"They are going to be really up for it," he predicted.
"Maybe if it doesn't go for them in the first few minutes they might get a bit apprehensive. It's one of them, you just have to sit and wait and see. It's going to be one hell of an atmosphere and a great game to play in."
